The 2008 class, in collaboration with staff at the Boston Medical Center Childbirth Education Program, designed a series of three books for women planning to deliver their babies at the Boston Medical Center. The books help facilitate communication between pregnant women and their doctors and midwives. Topics include pregnancy, labor and delivery, as well as the basic care of newborns. A goal of the project was for the guide to effectively reach a multilingual population from a wide range of cultural backgrounds with low health-literacy.
